Ashtabula County Medical Center recently welcomed Sandra Ferguson as its Vice President of Clinical Services.

Ms. Ferguson comes to ACMC from Euclid Hospital in Euclid, OH, where she served as Administrative Director and assumed the responsibilities of the Chief Operating Officer. While at Euclid, she had oversight of several clinical and non-clinical services, including, but not limited to, cardiopulmonary, pharmacy, imaging, lab, and rehabilitation services. Sandy has extensive experience in operations, strategic planning, capital planning, and continuous improvement.

As Vice President of Clinical Services at ACMC, Ms. Ferguson will have oversight of pharmacy, respiratory, cardiac services, imaging, lab, physical/occupational/speech therapy, as well as the Center for Sleep Medicine and the Wound Healing Center.

She brings 17 years of healthcare experience and leadership to the position. “Sandy’s experience is a perfect fit for ACMC. She is familiar with all the clinical departments that will report to her and her experience in continuous improvement will make those departments stronger and help us increase access to serve more patients,” said Leonard Stepp, Jr., president and CEO of the ACMC Healthcare System. “She is also a transparent communicator with a strong commitment to honesty, integrity, and empathy. She leads by example with a constant focus on quality care and patient and caregiver safety,”

“I am thankful for this opportunity. ACMC is a great organization in a great community,” said Ferguson. “Throughout the interview process – from the initial small group to the full executive team, to the management team that will report to me – it was clear that the hospital’s values are well aligned with my personal values. I am excited to work alongside this team of caregivers who have a commitment to quality and a genuine compassion for patients.”

Ms. Ferguson earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Edinboro University and her Master's in Healthcare Administration from Walden University. She is also a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
